Tuesday October 25

We had a great class today exploring the stages of mitosis.

We also had a talk about organization and really buckling down with the work in this class. Some students are consistently missing assignments, or parts of assignments. I have been fairly lenient with this by allowing students to ask for additional copies or turn assignments in late. After this week students are expected to put in more of an effort at completing ALL assignment ON TIME and COMPLETELY! This isn't an easy class, please join me in supporting your student by talking through the weekly assignments and referring to the blog as a back up. Help your student by checking their organization system (planner/binder, etc). It's really a great group of students, but I need just a little more effort!
Homework for this week:

  • Bake Cookies per the recipe you were given in class

  • Do PZ for Chapter 7 p. 156 (1-14)

  • Finish mitosis lab

  • finish karyotype lab if you need to

Have a great week!

Students received a grade print out in class today. If they have a '0' they can turn it in next week for half credit. After next week we return to the 'normal' procedure (one week late for 1/2 credit, after that no credit is given). If students did not take notes when David James was here, please have them write at least 10 things they remember and turn it in next week for full credit.

Have a great week!
